Additional Information
On this page you can see some of the pop-up
reminders displayed by BodyGuard. To further
help you, each reminder is accompanied by a
specific sound.

You can always find out when the next break
or drink are due, by opening BodyGuard or
by positioning the mouse pointer over the
BodyGuard icon at the bottom right hand
corner of the screen.

information
Clicking BodyGuard's icon at the bottom
right hand corner of the screen will show or
hide BodyGuard's main window. The main
window provides additional information, such
as: the beginning of the work session,
accumulated break time, and information of
recommended and actual water consumption.
The
minimum amount of water you should have been
drinking since you started working appears
both textually and graphically (as a row of
glasses). Each glass has a label above it,
indicating when it was recommended for you
to drink it. Checking the check box below
each glass will help you keep track of your
water consumption during the day – regarding
amounts and time intervals. Positioning the
mouse pointer over each glass will show you
when this glass was marked as consumed.

Settings tab:
The
Settings tab allows you to adjust BodyGuard to your
personal preferences. You can set the time
between breaks (or "work time"), the break's
length, and how often BodyGuard should nag
if you do not have enough break time.
You can also select the reminders you would
or wouldn't like to have. For example, if
you prefer not to have the "End of break"
reminder – just un-check it. You can also
decide if a reminder should be accompanied
by sound or not – by checking or un-checking
its sound checkbox.
An important setting is the Environment
temperature and humidity, as this will
affect the time intervals of the drinking
reminders. Therefore, make sure to adjust
the temperature setting according to your
best judgment.
For example: if you are in an
air-conditioned room and the temperature is
normal room-temperature, you should check
the "Normal" radio button. It might be
wise to check the "Dry air" check box as
well, since air-conditioning systems tend to
suck the air moisture.
If needed, change the settings again to meet
your personal preferences.
