Edit employees rates

Applicable to:    TimeGuard Network | TimeGuard Pro

In this window you assign rates to employees.
Rates are used in 'Per-hour' projects only.
The tasks per hour rates are visible only to administrators and project managers, and are completely hidden from the employees.
Click the 'New' link and define the rates in the 'Per hour rates' section.
Tip: right-click inside the employee list to check or uncheck the entire list.

Rate rules hierarchy:

It is important to understand the rates logic and hierarchy to avoid inaccurate billing.
The rule is: 'Specific employee rates override less specific rates'.

The following list describes the rate rules hierarchy:

1) 'Any project' + 'Any task'  (this is the less specific rate of all).
2) Specific project name + 'Any task'.
3) 'Any project' + specific task.
4) Specific project name + specific task (this is the most specific rate).

If no employee rate rule matches the task that is selected in the 'Input' window, then:

1) If the task is a particular task, the rate defined for that task in 'Particular task types' will be used.
2) If the task is a general task, the project's 'Default hour rate' that is defined in the 'Project Details' window, will be used.

Rates and currencies:

Rates are associated with currencies. You can create a seperate set of rules for every currency.
