Time related tab

Applicable to:    TimeGuard Network | TimeGuard Pro

In the Settings window you can change aspects of TimeGuard's operation and adjust features to your personal preferences.
In the 'Time Related' tab you set the level of TimeGuard's interaction with the user.

Note: 'Application settings' are local and affects only the current PC.

Note: if you want TimeGuard to be passive, set all the selection lists to 'Never'. Also uncheck the 'Show 'Report tasks or expenses' checkbox in the 'General' tab. TimeGuard will not ask questions, and the user should remember to report tasks and expenses.

Legend:

    1. Select the first day of the week which is suitable for your location on the globe.
    2. Sets the appearance intervals of the "Just Checking" pop-up. This pop-up checks your doings with you as you work.
    3. This dialog appears only if you ignore the 'Just checking' pop-up, and can be closed only by providing your activity status. It insures that you will not work for a long period without providing TimeGuard with the status of your work.
    4. Automatically stops the running task if the PC is idle longer than the selected number of minutes.
    5. Help you track idle time. A message is displayed when you start using your PC after it was idle for more than the specified time, asking you whether you would like to stop the task or reduce the idle time from the task.
    6. If the task is shorter than the defined number of minutes, a message is displayed asking you if you would like to save the task. This insures that very short tasks are not saved unless you approve it.
    7. If your PC is idle for a longer period of time than the specified minutes, TimeGuard will ask if you want to report tasks or expenses. This is a very useful reminder, as we tend to forget to report tasks performed out of the office.
    8. 'Close' button: closes 'Application Settings' window, and saves all the settings.
